I wasn’t really planning to watch it when I saw its preview in Netflix, but, just like all the Kdrama’s that got me, wherein at first I thought it wasn’t something I’d watch, I found myself hooked by the first episode of Itaewon Class. I thought this was just your average street smart guy story but it turns out it wasn’t… It’s the story of each and everyone of us, especially those who had it harder in life, who continuous to aim for their dreams against all odds…
This is perhaps one of the best performances of Park Seo Jun — and one of his best dramas to date…and to be honest, this is also one of the best drama’s I’ve seen which gave me a different feel and made me realize areas I need to work on more with my life.
Dear reader, if you are looking for a good show to help you reflect in life, Itaewon Class is for you. But more than recommending this drama in my post, I’d like to share first this song which is part of the drama’s original sound track, “Still Fighting It”.
Sharing with you the lessons I got for the drama deserves its own post. While I may be able to do it here, I want to share more this song by Lee Chan Sol believing during this time with the Covid-19 scare, especially for those who are in the frontline fighting for both theirs and other people’s lives, and for those who aren’t as privilege as other families who finds themselves isolated and struggling during the lockdown, may this song comfort you.
We all have different struggles in life. Sometimes we find ourselves with little to eat, or with less than what others have, or neglected by family, bullied, judged… whatever story you have, know you are not alone. This is all part of growing up…and it painful but we’re still fighting — and so should you…
