About

Chasing Possibilities is more than just a blog — it’s a testimony.

Hi, I’m Jenny, a writer from the Philippines. I enjoy reading, writing poems and reflections in my journal, watching sunsets and sunrises, lying on the grass and sand, and painting the sky, stars, and the open sea from time to time. More than these, I am a physically challenged person and I’m saved by grace…

I created this blog as my way of sharing my reflections and learnings and even my journey — chasing the possibilities that God has for me.

It was first Possibly Maybe Unexpectedly (or PMU). I created this blog back in 2008 with the intention of using it as my SEO practice platform. Little did I know that years later it would turn into an inspirational/motivational blog, leading me to eventually meet the person who would share Jesus Christ to me. Since then, I have shared lessons and reflections in life, which you can read back on my blogspot site .

My life, itself, is a journey of chasing possibilities—letting go of all the maybes, and finding myself in wonderful yet unexpected circumstances. I mean who would have thought that merely writing this blog would lead me to become a Christian!

Since then I have shared my thoughts, my faith, my life, and all the ups and downs with it and the seemingly blessed moments (regardless of how mundane they seem) with readers.

…but there was a moment I stopped blogging and continued a different project. Despite it, God really has a way of bringing me back to His intention for me thus here I am.

In this blog, I will be sharing with you the places I’ve been, the passions that kept me working, and my ponderings that kept me realizing where I need to grow and how to help others in the process…

We all have that vision we want to pursue despite how ridiculous it may seem to others. In my case, God led me to things no one saw I would enjoy and find myself in. Let me share with you the activities that make my heart flutter….

I wanted to be a “woman of many things” when I was a child — a saying I got from watching Little Women. Little did I realize I’d be doing and being interested in so many things when I grew up.

I grew up passionate about doing so many activities: from writing my own stories in my notebook to watercolor painting to hoarding and reading books to many more activities I can’t seem to clear my mind from. I guess the only way for me to sum these up is I just want to live life to the fullest and learn what I can.

I’ll definitely share all these here including my weird addictions…. (weird for some at least).

No one thought I’d go places — let alone travel on my own yet God allowed me. Let me share the sites, the experiences, and even the stories and reflections from where God took me.

I walk with crutches. I grew up surrounded by people who were either encouraging me to go the extra mile or simply bound me according to how they see me…. the latter thus sparked that desire to travel.

While others thought I’d only be stuck in the province, God proved otherwise. I was once denied an opportunity to work in my hometown but God opened doors outside. The rest was history…

It was taking me “outside” the province that I experienced God more — an unfamiliar place that also didn’t know anything about me. It was there that I was given the people and environment to grow and even led me to be a Christian, be part of missions, and go places where others thought I can’t.

Life is difficult but going through these ups and downs made me more amazed at how God brings about answers to prayers and His best-laid plans into action

We all have ideas we can share — the question is would it be helpful or not? In my case, allow me to share my reflections and realizations. They may not always be perfect but it has helped me and I hope it will with you. However, I must warn you.

… I can only grow and therefore I may even take back and correct myself and what I wrote here one day.

I’ll also share a few lessons that others have shared and even reflections on situations I’m currently in. You may not all relate to it but at least some of you might need it.

Dear reader, whoever you are, I hope that this blog blesses you with an idea, a lesson, or perhaps a pastime. This blog may even change once more after some time. I just hope it will be better. But one thing is sure about this… it will all be within God’s will and grace.

I pray for you to see the possibilities God has laid for you rather than the ones you planned for yourself. It is good to plan but it is better to pray and surrender it all to Him.

If you’ve been blessed by this blog, please feel free to send me a message on my social media accounts. I’d love to hear your stories too…

You are loved and valued by our Abba, Father!
